Mountain gardens have a short growing season and are limited to the species which can survive harsh winters. Luckily roses thrive in the high altitude and difficult climate :)

I suppose you could call this a memorial to my roses. I moved from the mountains to
the desert. I was told the people who bought my house tore out my roses! The Neon Lights,
Honor, Angel Face and the seven foot rose bush are all gone. I can't believe it!
Anyway, roses do
like the desert and I am enjoying a vegetable garden, a huge grapevine, lilacs, a variety of daisies, etc...And ROSES! They thrive here and I will put the pictures up soon.
